The City of Fairfax has long been the center of this area’s history. Old Town Fairfax is registered as both a National and State Historic District. The official hotel and conference center of George Mason University, the Mason Inn, is nestled among a natural wooded setting on the south side of George Mason University campus. The Mason Inn is the only full-service hotel near George Mason University. The center offers all the amenities of the Mason campus, the Patriot Center, Center for the Arts, and the Recreation and Athletic Center with easily accessible complimentary shuttle service around campus and to and from the Vienna Metro stop. The Mason Inn has been awarded LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification for achieving standards of energy use, lighting, water, and material use, as well as for incorporating a variety of other sustainable strategies.

Affordable accommodations are available to all ICCRTS participants, and we encourage everyone to make your reservations at the Mason Inn. While the George Mason campus and Fairfax are located in the Northern Virginia area of metropolitan Washington, DC, the area is several miles outside the city and not easily accessible to main thoroughfares or public transportation. Commuting to the conference venue could present a challenge. The inclusive dates for this special ICCRTS rate begin 18 June and end 22 June 2012. Reservations for the Mason Inn must be received by 1 June 2012.
