Abstract

Intended as a `practical textbook on command and control,' this volume provides a broad overview of the C2 field. It is divided into three parts: command and war, command and control process, and command, control, computer and communications systems. Each part is divided into one or more sections, each consisting of a focus statement, subject material, a list of suggested readings on the section subject, and a commentary on the readings. A bibliography and list of acronyms complete the volume. Section topics include: intelligence, organizational issues, decision making and decision aids, telecommunications, computers, interoperability, survivability, and C4 architectures.
