Although primarily a study of tactics (as the title suggests), Hughes touches on the importance of C2 in modern naval warfare, mostly in relation to a specific model (the Lawson model) of C2. In addition, a great deal of his discussion of `scouting and anti-scouting' has particular relevance to aspects of information warfare.
