Abstract

The seven sections of this volume address Soviet command philosophy and style; advances in Soviet computing and technology related to C3; Soviet C3 perspectives on nuclear war, on naval warfare, on air/missile/space defense, on war survivability; and the approaches of the Soviets and their allies to war in Europe. The editor concludes with an analysis of the challenges posed by the Soviet military command system. Article authors include John Yurechko, Harriet and William F. Scott, and the editor. Brief biographical sketches are included, and most articles have notes attached.
