Abstract

This issue of Military Review is devoted entirely to discussion of command and control in its Army context. The discussion deals primarily with the practical applications of C2, rather than theoretical or research issues. Topics include: the effort to modernize the Army's C2 systems (principally through the creation ATCCS - the Army Tactical Command and Control System), the development of `competent, bold leaders' and `first-rate command and control systems' through the Battle Command Training Program and its WARFIGHTER exercises, and problems of structuring, organizing, and operating command posts.
