Campen has collected 23 articles (including several of his own) on the role of C3I in the Gulf War. They range from the brigade to the Command level and include topics on everything from communications to EW, intelligence, and space-based systems. One article analyzes the failure of Iraqi command and control; another evaluates the impact of the press covering the war; others diagram architectures and templates for networking. Although some of the articles are reprinted, many provide novel and thought-provoking understandings of much-discussed events and occurrences of the war and provide readers with new perspectives. There is a short biography on each author, an index, and a list of references in addition to each article's notes.
