The 61 papers presented for the 1987 JDL Research Symposium reflect the organization of the event into six working groups: theory and modeling of C3, control theory and optimization applications, organizational and behavioral approaches to C3, systems analysis of C3, decision support and artificialintelligence, and C3 systems and components. The plenary presentations include an address on C2 research by the Vice Chairman of the JCS, JCS support for C2 analysis and simulation, and reflections on C3 theory and the future of C3 research.
